How to move through setbacks and thrive professionally

We've ALL experienced professional setbacks.

My clients are professionals that fall into one of two camps: they're either currently employed and working their way up into leadership positions, or in business for themselves.

In my latest video, I share with you the lessons I've learnt over the last 15 years (12 in corp, 3 in my business) so you can move quickly through setbacks and THRIVE so you can continue building your personal brand as a thought leader in your field, and become a magnet for endless opportunities and clients.

When you have TOO much knowledge on a topic + don’t know what to share

This may sound like a strange problem to have – TOO much knowledge. But it’s true for most of my clients when they’re building their personal brands to attract more aligned opportunities and clients and become the go-to people in their industries.

After 10, 20 or 30 years in corporate roles, often multiple degrees and leagues of experience, they’ve amassed such an incredibly huge amount of knowledge, skill and expertise in their specific fields that simply sifting through that quantity of content in their minds to create bite-sized pieces of content that they can share to build their personal brands can feel challenging.

The top 3 things I did in the first year of my consulting business (part 3)

In the first year of my consulting business, there were several things I focused on to create success.

When I left corporate, I started out with just a couple of coaching clients and no consulting clients because it was a conflict with my job to have PR clients on the side. Which is totally fair enough!

But what I really wanted was to replace my six-figure annual income. ASAP.

In this live replay of day 3, I share with you the third thing I focused on in the first year of my consulting business to replace my corporate income in just a few days per week. To watch the other two replays, join me at The Thought Leadership Club on Facebook at the link below.

10 abundant things you can do as a consultant

When you launch your consulting business, you’re free to work as many hours as you choose.

Of course, it will take some time to set up at the beginning because you’ll be creating business collateral like sales pitches, credentials documents and templates for the first time, plus finding your first clients and delivering incredible work for them so that you can be referred again and again.

However, once you’ve gotten past the first year or two, you’ll find yourself with more time on your hands than when you worked in a full-time job.

Once you have your business fundamentals set up, your long-term clients, your business templates and you get into the groove of things, you’ll have some choices about how you spend your time.
